What makes a helpful first enquiry?

Explain the main change you want and why the existing arrangement is not working. Add your postcode and rough dimensions if you have them. For outdoor work, a wide photograph showing the relationship with the house is often more useful than a close-up alone. Include the access route and any features you intend to keep. You do not need a polished design brief to begin; a clear description of your priorities is enough.

If you already have plans or a preferred material

Mention drawings, specifications or product choices in your message, and email the relevant files to gbhomeandgardenservices@outlook.com. Tell us whether those choices are fixed or still open for discussion. If another part of the project will be handled separately, explain that arrangement too. This helps establish the work you want GB to consider and highlights connections that may need coordination.

Tell us when you would like the work to happen

Let us know about events, other building work or access arrangements that may influence when the project could take place. Availability and the work sequence need discussion once the scope is understood. An enquiry starts that conversation; it does not reserve a date. If the project is intended for a later season or will be completed in phases, include that information when describing your plans.

Ask about your project ↗
How do I know my enquiry has been sent?

After you select “Send enquiry”, you’ll see a large tick and “Your enquiry has been sent” in place of the form. If an error appears, your details remain in the form so you can retry or contact us another way. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking or installation date.

Can I send drawings and photographs with my enquiry?

Yes, email them to gbhomeandgardenservices@outlook.com and include your name and postcode so we can match them to your enquiry. Include a wider view showing the proposed work in relation to the house and access, as well as any relevant close-up. For drawings, identify the current revision and whether they are ideas, submitted plans or approved documents. Remove unrelated personal information and avoid including other people in photographs unnecessarily.

Does making an enquiry reserve an installation date?

No. The work, dependencies and availability need discussion before a programme can be agreed. Mention an event, other building work or a preferred season so those constraints are understood. A requested date remains a preference until the team confirms arrangements for the defined scope. Do not treat sending a message or receiving an early estimate as confirmation that a start date is held.
